Our 15 Step Comprehensive Rug Process at AhmadiRug – Excellence in Every Step
Rug cleaning process that will ensure your rug is meticulously cared for from setart to finish. Here’s a detailed look at our approach:
Step 1: Inspection
We begin with a thorough inspection to assess the rug’s condition, identifying any areas that may require special attention. We factor in the type of rug, its material, and the level of dirt or stains.
Step 2: Rug Dusting
Our team lays the rug face down and employs a specialized machine to dislodge dust and particles from the back of the rug. This step ensures a deep-clean, reaching into the rug’s fibers where regular cleaning can’t reach.
Step 3: Vacuuming
We thoroughly vacuum the back and surface of the rug to remove any remaining debris. Our high-powered vacuums are designed to work gently yet effectively, protecting your rug’s delicate fibers.
Step 4: Gentle Pressure Rinsing
We rinse the rug with gentle water pressure to remove surface dirt. This process is carefully controlled to safeguard the rug’s color and texture.
Step 5: Back Shampooing
Our team applies a mild shampoo to the backside of the rug, repeating this process 2-3 times (or more if necessary), to remove deeply embedded dirt.
Step 6: Flip and Extract
We turn the rug over and use our extraction system to remove dirty water from the surface, ensuring a thorough cleaning without oversaturation.
Step 7: Surface Shampooing
We shampoo the rug’s surface, repeating this process at least four times depending on the level of dirtiness. After each shampooing cycle, we rinse and extract the water.
Step 8: Rolling and Drying
Post-shampooing, we roll the rug and place it in a specialized drying system. This system removes 99.99% of the water within 90 seconds, preventing odors and color bleeding.
Step 9: Pile Brushing
After drying, we lay the rug flat and brush the pile in the correct direction. This step restores the rug’s natural texture and beauty.
Step 10: Air Drying
We hang the rug in a room temperature area to dry naturally, avoiding temperature-controlled environments that can cause odor and color issues.
Step 11: Blocking
In thicker pile rugs and oriental rugs, fibers can sometimes shrink. With the blocking process, we restore the original shape of the rug.
Step 12: Shearing
For thicker rugs, we trim any fuzzy fibers to restore the rug’s original appearance, ensuring a neat and even finish.
Step 13: Fringe Trimming
Neatly trim the tip of the fringes.
Step 14: Final Vacuuming
Perform a final vacuuming to remove any remaining debris.
Step 15: Final Inspection
We conduct a thorough final inspection to ensure your rug meets our quality standards. Only then do we consider our job done!
