We collect rugs from homes around the Woodfield area and the Spring Valley area, and from addresses along Schaumburg Road, Roselle Road and Higgins Road. Every rug is washed, dried, repaired if needed and inspected at our 10,000 sq ft workshop in Skokie.
Tufted, hand-knotted and machine-woven
We clean handmade and machine-made rugs from Schaumburg homes, and tufted, hand-knotted and machine-woven constructions need different cleaning considerations.
A hand-knotted rug is inspected before it gets wet: we identify its materials and construction and check for color bleeding.
A hand-tufted rug gets the same inspection, and we choose the washing and controlled drying to suit it.
A machine-woven rug is inspected for fiber and construction before we decide how to wash it. We immerse a rug fully only where construction and condition permit. Our rug cleaning service runs from inspection and dust removal through controlled drying to a final inspection.
Pet odor and stains
We treat pet odor and stains for Schaumburg households.
We tell you at inspection what to expect for your rug. Pet odor treatment is assessed rug by rug, and we never promise that a stain or an odor will clear completely.
Fringe and edge repairs
We repair fringe and edges on Schaumburg rugs.
Our fringe repair, side-edge and binding work starts with an inspection of how your rug is made. Our specialists perform detailed handmade rug repairs and restoration, including reweaving, foundation reconstruction, fringe restoration, edge repair, and custom yarn matching. Each project is evaluated individually to preserve the rug’s structure, original character, and long-term integrity. Repair and restoration timing depends on scope, materials and workload, and we give an estimated timeframe once the scope is set.
Maintenance between washes
We also look after Schaumburg rugs that need only regular maintenance, and we look after them with regular care.
We estimate standard cleaning at 5–7 business days; specialty work, heavy contamination and delicate rugs take longer, and we tell you that at estimate.
When a rug arrives we note its condition, name its materials and construction, and give you a recommendation with the reasoning behind it. When we find existing damage or a risk, we tell you, and any material change to the scope needs your approval. We are rug specialists, not carpet cleaners. Ghorban Ahmadi has performed conservation work for the State Hermitage Museum, the Musée du Louvre, and the British Museum.
Our northwest route through Schaumburg
Schaumburg pickups usually fall on Wednesday, the typical route day for the northwest suburbs, confirmed when you book. Appointments on the route are grouped geographically, and each one depends on route availability. Each rug is identified and tracked while it is with us, and we confirm pickup and delivery with you in advance. Tell us in advance about oversized rugs, stairs, restricted parking, elevators or loading docks; heavy rugs may need extra arrangements.
Insured pickup and delivery is free within 5 miles of our Skokie workshop or our St. Charles location, and $75 round trip beyond. On larger orders and restoration projects we may waive the transportation fee; we tell you at estimate.
That typical Wednesday, confirmed when you book, takes in Arlington Heights as well. Hoffman Estates, Rolling Meadows and Elk Grove Village are neighboring towns.
Starting with a photo
The quickest start is to ask for a free estimate with a photo of the rug and its approximate size, and we answer the same business day. That first figure stays preliminary until we have inspected the rug.
