Ahmadi Rug wants everyone to be able to read about rug care, request an estimate, and reach the workshop, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement sets out the standard we work toward, what the site does today, where it still falls short, and how to tell us about a problem.
Our target
We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is a target, not a claim: the site has not been audited against WCAG 2.2, and we do not state that it conforms.
What the site does today
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first item a keyboard reaches on every page, and it moves focus past the navigation to the page’s main content.
- Buttons and the links in the mobile bar at the foot of the screen show a visible outline when they receive keyboard focus.
- The mobile bar’s Call, Text, and Estimate links are at least 48 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
- Each page declares its language as English, so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
- Phone numbers are real call links, so a tap or a screen reader’s link list dials the workshop directly.
- Videos load only when you press play; nothing plays on its own.
- Our build standards call for one main heading per page, descriptive alt text on every image, and form fields large enough that phones do not zoom in when you type.
Known limits
- Embedded forms. Our estimate, contact, and trade application forms are provided by HighLevel and shown inside the page as embedded frames. HighLevel controls their markup, labels, and error messages, so we cannot correct barriers inside them ourselves. If a form gives you trouble, use the phone or email below and we will take your request directly.
- Reduced motion. The site does not yet respond to the “reduce motion” setting on your device. Its motion is limited to short color transitions on hover and focus, the navigation menu fading and sliding in when opened, and a pulsing placeholder while some tools load.
- Not yet reviewed. Color contrast across every page, captions on embedded videos, and the PDF documents the site generates have not yet been checked against our target.
Report a barrier
If something on the site stops you from finding information or getting in touch, tell us the page address and what happened. Email info@ahmadirug.com, call (847) 440-1349, write to us at 7300 N Lawndale Ave, Skokie, IL 60076, or use our contact page. We reply same business day. If a barrier keeps you from the estimate form, you can give us the same details by phone or email.
