What the Studio collection is for

Studio is hand-tufted wool — a different construction method than our hand-knotted collections, and we are clear about the distinction. A hand-tufted rug uses a tufting gun to push wool through a canvas backing, which is then latexed and lined. The result is dense, durable, and visually excellent. It is not hand-knotted and we never represent it as such.

Right for secondary bedrooms, kids rooms, staging, vacation properties, and any project where hand-knotted construction would be cost-prohibitive. Studio also works for high-traffic hallways and mudrooms where the practical case for a premium construction is harder to make. The same design process, the same colour consultation, the same delivery standard — different construction.

Studio collection — common questions

  • How long does a Studio commission take?

The Studio collection typically takes 8–12 weeks from brief approval to delivery. This includes design approval, yarn sampling, weaving, finishing, and blocking. The timeline starts when your design brief is approved — not when you first enquire.

  • What sizes are available?

We weave any size from 2×3 to 20×30 feet. Standard sizes are available from stock patterns; custom dimensions add 2–4 weeks. For unusual shapes — rounds, ovals, stair runners — contact Bobby to discuss.

  • Can I see samples before committing?

Yes. Trade partners receive the physical swatch library — 30-50 yarn samples, dye cards for 80 standard colorways, and weave density samples at multiple KPSI levels. Request the swatch library at /swatch-library.

  • How is trade pricing structured?

Approved trade partners see net pricing — the wholesale floor. You mark up however you choose. We never quote retail to your client. Apply for a trade account at /trade-partners.
